The JMT is considered one of the greatest backpacking routes in America. Traveling about 230 miles from Yosemite National Park to the top of Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the lower 48, this trail attracts thousands of hikers each year. In fact, getting a permit is now one of the hardest aspects of this route. In this session, Alan Wechsler will show photos and tell stories from his 11-day adventure on the route, as well as talk about the logistics and challenges of this California trek.
