”Come Into the Garden” will begin the program as Katrina’s lyrics and Bertha Remick’s music welcome the listener to feel the beauty of the Yaddo’s rose garden. The program is a celebration of the “Spirit of Life” Katrina in words, music and actions. Her music and lyrics will be a featured along with pieces that feature her words and the music of other composers. Program notes will complement the music and life of Saratoga’s favorite “rose.” The program also features several other art songs by Katrina’s contemporaries such as Sergei Rachmaninoff, Victor Herbert and Rudolf Friml. Come and enjoy this musical celebration of voice and piano through Katrina’s music.
