Event Details

This music and spoken word performance is inspired by the great 20th century novel, "The Sheltering Sky" by Paul Bowles, plus music of Bowles and other selections.  The Arch Stanton Quartet performs original jazz that is original, yet rooted in bop and post-bop traditions. In March 2013 the band was named Best Local Jazz Band in the Metroland Readers Poll and embarked on a tour of Egypt, performing at the Cairo Jazz Festival and other gigs.
