The library is offering a three-part series of 50 year old movies to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Film expert and Menands Public Library Director Lenny Zapala is offering the first of a three-installment series with the movie Network. The film depicts a television network struggling with poor ratings until the nightly live broadcast of its longtime news anchor Howard Beale (Peter Finch) inadvertently showcases his breakdown into increasingly psychotic behavior. Alongside Finch (in his final role), the film stars Faye Dunaway, William Holden and Robert Duvall. The movie is directed by Sidney Lumet.
