Zachary Anderson, a 2016 graduate of Georgia Southern University’s Recreation and Tourism Management program, is now in his fifth year as a Park Guide at the Martin Van Buren National Historic Site. With expertise in historical interpretation, he explores a range of topics, including the life and politics of Martin Van Buren, the history of enslavement in New York, and Indigenous history, focusing especially on the impact of Van Buren’s policies on Native American communities.
