Repair Café

Do you have a beloved household item that could use a little TLC?  Come to the Repair Café, a joint project of the Library and the Town of Colonie Department of Planning and Economic Development, to connect with volunteer experts from our community who are excited to teach you the skills to fix items and extend the life of your prized possessions.

Volunteers will sit with you while they explain repairs in these categories:

• electrical wiring
• bicycles
• small appliances
• clothing
• vacuum cleaners
• woodworking
• blade sharpening (knives, scissors and lawn mower blades)
• screen for windows and doors
• computers and electronics

Sign in at the Check-In table. You will receive a number for the order in which you have arrived. ONE item may be repaired per attendee.
