Film expert and Menands Public Library Director Lenny Zapala is offering the second of a six-installment series with the movie The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. Sam Masterson (Van Heflin) is stuck in the town he grew up in.  He left accused of murder as a child.  He finds his hometown is run by Martha Ivers (Stanwyck) and Walter O'Neil (Kirk Douglas).  They know the truth of the murder and will do anything to get rid of Sam.  With Lizabeth Scott.  The movie is directed by Lewis Milestone.
